The bright moon showered it's heavenly light upon the planet, soothing the creatures as well as the humans. It was night time; the perfect time of the day for bandits to go raiding houses, but they seemed not to do that around here. Guards were posted around each and every possible corner, making the place look like a top secret headquarters for an important figure head. Once upon a time, this place used to be barren; without grass, without any life form except for strange monsters. We all know that as Genesis. The start of this Earth. Sadly, the spiky blonde, gravity-defying hair that belonged to a tall male didn't like that name. Yes.. he knew that name all too well. Genesis; one of the First Class Soldiers, but went missing a long time ago. Six or seven years later, Cloud forgot a lot of about him; and only remembered his name, his class, and that he went missing. Sometimes, he even doubted that the man went missing, and went into hiding instead. Walking quietly on the road, the Ex-Soldier's facial expression was kept the same as always: stoic. He didn't see the need in keeping emotions on; bright and bubbly.. Oh god; when was the last time he remembered smiling? Around his friends, Tifa.. Aerith. Aerith. That god awful name that brings back his traumatic memories. The inner Cloud sneered, trying to fight back those memories, trying to make him forget them, yet failed in it's conquest.
A particular yellow bird caught the corner of his cerulean eyes, body slowly turning around to face a Chocobo behind wooden gates. It was the night time, so he had to squint, but not that much to mess up his expression. "......" He continued to stare at it, the yellow bird reminding him of the ones back in his world. Oh yeah - he forgot that he was transfered to this strange world known as "La Terre"; and away from his own beloved world. When he got first got here, he assumed it was just a newly, undiscovered continent in his own world, but upon learning why he was brought there by the Queen of Light, he learned that this was an entirely different world - not the same time system, nothing the same. The Queen also told him that she called for more 'heroes' from different worlds: ones that were called 'heroes' in their own worlds to come over to this one and help her defeat the Dark King. The Dark King gave him a hint: assuming it was a huge enemy that he had to defeat all over again. By himself. [/i] Yes, the amazing Cloud was going to go off and destroy the King by himself. Yet deep down inside, he knew god damn well that he couldn't, and reluctantly accept the aide of other heroes. Turning away from the Chocobo, he secured the First Tsurugi safely across his back, walking towards the barn that housed the Chocobo he just saw. When he finally arrived into the huge barn house, he saw that the structure was exactly the same. Everything: except for some objects and forms here and there, but it reminded him all too much of the ones back in his world. The owner waved to him, telling him that he'll be right there, but he had to do something. Nodding silently, the blonde haired male stood in front of one Chocobo stall, being as still as a statue, his blue eyes staring at the bird like it was the same one that he had first rode. xx-------------------------------- It had been so long since she had experienced normality. Things had changed dramatically ever since she arrived here, in a place where she knew pretty much no one. Getting by was more difficult now, as she struggled to make sense of it all. What was happening? Where were her friends? Where was Edge? So many questions were left unanswered as she had to make best of her new situation. This land was not like her own and so from what she heard, was not in peace. There was a new enemy in sight, not that she understood anything about it.
Being plucked from her own world was one thing but having to fight all ever again...it was so exhausting. Nether less, Tifa did her best by not thinking of that right now. There was plenty time for that, she was sure. But as of right now, she found it hard to sleep without thinking. Where was he...and the kids. Where they safe? She hadn’t seen them since she landed here. Sighing, the dark-haired woman found herself wondering the farmland, knowing that at least she would tire herself out.
It was quiet enough for no one to see her wandering round at this incredibly stupid hour, of which she was rather thankful for. Her footsteps echoed on the grass, as she let her feet take her, without thinking consciously where she was going. She was exhausted by now, her walk taking her further than she expected. Not being here all that long, she found herself a complete and utter distance from where she had taken shelter. Glancing around, she noticed that she didn’t recognise of the landscape. She hadn’t been this far out yet. It did not help that it was dark out, clouding her judgment.
Frowning, she wondered just how far it would take to get ‘home’. Sighing lightly, her ruby eyes scanned for anything that resembled shelter. Then she saw it, a chocobo barn. Smiling, an old memory popped it her head. Ever the curious warrior, Tifa walked past the barn, deciding it was worth a shot. Maybe she could get home after all, not that she was all that good to be honest. But she was desperate, and incredibly tired.
Tip toeing round the front she wasn’t going to just steal one. She would ask the owner maybe...Just as she walked round past the barn, a glimmer of blonde spiky hair caught her ruby eye. It looked like the head of a chocobo to her, which made her chuckle ever so quietly. Even without seeing his burning blue eyes, she had a gut feeling that it was him. It had to be, it just had to. Taking a deep breath, she didn’t know what to say. What could she say with it sounding awkward, stupid. Taking a deep breath, she shook her head. She didn’t know why she was being so awkward; after all it was just her friend. A friend she had known for a very long time in fact. Deciding not to scare him, she walked quietly, peering to check if it was really him. ”Cloud, is that...you?” she squinted, turning her head to face him.

His eyes remained unwavering, blue optics staring at the bird with little to no curiosity. Yes, it reminded him of his chocobos back at his homeland, but these ones weren't doing any help in aiding that. It seemed that he stood as still as a statue: even the slightest movement of the wind through his hair, or the accidental bump of a passerby wouldn't cause his feet to shift to the other direction even by a mere centimeter. Through out his years, he has trained himself to stand like this; his right big toe firmly fastened just in case he had to go into a fight. This place didn't seem like one of those places where he would get into a fight, but who knows? Even an old enemy from the past could come back at any moment and destroy this place with merely a materia. Yeah.. that was Sephiroth: the man that he knows is dead, and plans for him to stay dead. If he ever suddenly popped out of the blue at this time.. so help him. He can kick his ass here and there any day.
He head footsteps coming into the barn: ones that he recognized all too well. Tifa. Why is she here? His facial expression suddenly changed - from that of an apathetic, emotionless male to one that showed on the male's face to that of a softer, yet difficult-to-read what's on his mind. "Cloud, is that... you?" The voice registered in his mind, turning his head slowly to face Tifa; looking up and down her frame, relaxing his fastened toe and straightened his posture up a little. He was slouching moments before, and that's bad for his back! "Yes." He replied, moving closer to her so he was standing merely five arms away from her face. "What are you doing here?" He asked, his mind now suddenly moving into the different subject like: where's everyone else?
note: eff sorry. :c i just went to a football banquet.

xx-------------------------------- She had to say this was odd for her, going out at all hours. But really, odd was probably the name for all this craziness that had gone on lately. Getting her mind round it all wasn’t easy, hence the reason why she most likely could not sleep. With her happy, normal life interrupted, she had to get used to the fact that stability wasn’t for her anymore. She would always have to be on guard for there was no telling when something would knock her out of the blue, just like this. Being able to adapt wasn’t exactly her forte but it was instinct, something she just had to do.
Not she easily adapted to this place, considering the short time she had been here for. Standing there in the barn, she didn’t make much sound for there were no real words to describe her current mental. Confused? Maybe so...Relief washed over her knowing she found at least one friend to relate to, share this insanity of a brand new ‘adventure’. Probably not as helpful as some of the others, but just by seeing him she felt a little better. His stoic nature hadn’t changed, unsurprisingly as he answered straight forwardly.
Her dark ruby eyes studied his face that had not o much as changed an inch since she last saw him. The relief was incredible, comforting. Although a pang of concern washed over, the same feeling since she felt since day one here. What about the others? Where they safe, out of harm’s way or were they scattered here too...Whatever the answer was she was determined to find them. Maybe with a little help too.
A sudden smile broke on her lips, the one she always wore when he was around. It was natural, just like how the sun would set in the sky, automatic. Her heart beat faster as he soon was close to her. This wasn’t a dream; finally she was no longer alone in this world. She struggled to find the right words, wondering what was going on from his expressionless face.
“Uh, well...I really don’t know. I just sort of ended up here. I haven't been here too long, I don't think” she spoke quietly, her hands clasping behind her back. “I could say the same for you. I really don’t know what’s happened. It’s hard to get my head round it all. But anyway, how have you been?” she asked at the end, hoping he was adapting better than she had.
“Sorry for being a bit scattered, I haven’t had that much sleep." she spoke honestly, reaching out to stroke the chocobo gently.
