I walk this lonely path  x x Hoping to see those familiar faces once more -----------------------------------
In a part of the woods, not sure where there was a young girl wandering about. She seemed to be lost and unsure of where she was, already knowing for a fact this wasn't her home. She had woken up in the forest floor, the sun peeking through the canopy of the trees. She had expected to see her sister or at least Snow somewhere near her, but she was truly alone. As she walked over branches and fallen leaves, the sound of them cracked and crinkled beneath her feet. The sound seemed to echo throughout the woods, but she payed no attention to it. The pink haired girl had to find some sort of town, or at least a person to ask where she was. It was then she heard a message on a small breeze, a kind voice before disappearing again.
Serah wasn't quite sure what it meant, but somehow she knew it meant her no harm. Though it still didn't explain where she was, all that she did know is that she needed to find her sister and Snow. Reuniting with them was more important to her, hopefully they were looking for her as well. As she continued to walk along, Serah glanced left then right. There just seemed to be no end to these woods. Finding a log to sit on, Serah sighed lightly. She closed her eyes and takes a deep breath, before opening them once more.
She couldn't give up, she had to find a way out. Yes she was determined to get out of these woods, and find a town or something before nightfall came. Standing up she glanced every which way, and picked a direction. She only hoped she didn't meet up with any angry wild animals or anything, after all she didn't have a weapon and she couldn't summon since she had turned to crystal before she could get a aeon. Only stopping quite often, she would turn her head at the sound of a snapping twig or the rustle of leaves. That was when she would quicken her pace, and move more quickly through the woods.

If I Lose Serah X X I Have Nothing It felt like only yesterday when she saw her sister turn to crystal, she blamed Snow. Lighting had regretted a lot, the way she treated her sister. Not believing, not understanding, but since that time she knew loneliness. But Fang had told her she would wake up, and when Serah woke. She got a feeling, it was strong, so she had to find her, something in her made her speak. "Odin" . Odin had turned into horse form and started to go where her heart told her to go. She heard everything around her, she could smell the fresh air. Hear the sound of the wind hitting everything around her. But in the distance she thought she saw someone.
Finally they were at a small clearing, when she turned she saw pink hair. Was that her? was that Serah, everything seemed to stop. Lighting got off the horse, her blade in the back of her where it always was. But she noticed the clothing, it was her. Lighting was never good at showing emotions, she was a cold person. But it took losing her to make her feel. Lighting never smiled before, but now she did. She walked up to her.
"Serah!" . She called, this was her.
And once she was sure of it, she ran to her and wrapped her arms up around her.
"Oh Serah" She said, her voice showing she was actually crying. |

It had been lonely when she had been turned to crystal, all she could do was wonder. Would she ever wake up, would she see her sister and Snow once more. Before she had turned to crystal, she was happy they had come to rescue her. Telling them she had completed her focus and could now await her rebirth, so that was what she had done. Most people who had turned to crystal though often didn't awaken for many years, so of course she was surprised when she awoke with Dajh. That had been the best reunion ever, hugging her sister and Snow. They had told her all about their time trying to find a way to save her, the fights and battles they went through and the summons they got. If she hadn't completed her task so fast, would she also have had a summon to call her own. Or eidolons as they are called.
Putting her hands behind her back, she continued to walk in deep thought. And soon came to a clearing in the woods, peering up to the clear spot between the trees above. Serah could see the sky, and a few birds flying pass. It was then she heard a familiar voice and turned her head to see the familiar pink hair, a smile went across her lips. "SIS! Is it really you?". She had just been thinking of her sister, and here she was. If this was dream she didn't want to wake up, but when she felt her sister wrap her in a hug. Serah knew this wasn't a dream at all, she was really here. The pink haired girl returned the hug, and just held her sister close not wanting to let go. She had been so worried about her, and now that they were reunited they could go and find Snow.
"Sis I was so worried about you, when I woke up I wasn't in my normal bed". When you go from a nice cozy feeling, to something hard and damp you know something is wrong. That was just how she felt when she woke up in the middle of the woods, her first thought had been she was kidnapped and someone had left her in the middle of nowhere. But when she realized nothing looked familiar, that was when she knew she wasn't home. Pulling back from her sister, Serah could see she was crying. Had she really been that worried, usually it was her who was the worry wort in the family.
Gently taking her hand, she tilted her head lightly to the right and smiled. "Hey come on now sis, you found me. We can go find Snow, and the other's". By other's she meant Sazh, and Hope. Her friends she had told her about, if she was here then her friends were perhaps here as well right. And now that they were reunited, they could travel together and see what this new world has in store for them.

If I Lose SerahX X I Have Nothing Lite couldn't believe what she was saying or doing, when she looked into her eyes. She sighed some and nodded, god she was so foolish. She didn't know what to say to her, so many things she regretted. "I have something for you Serah, Snow...." She said looking down, when you told me your fate. I was angry, I didn't think you were serious. Because I would have been ordered to kill you. I didn't believe Snow was for you, but that day. When you became crystal, he refused to leave your body.
He stayed alone with you. Serah...I was such a fool, I have accepted Snow as my soon to be brother in law. Hurting you, after a while I regretted what I had done. What I had said. So many words, I wanted to say. I will not let anyone hurt you." She reached behind her head and clipped a chain and showed Serah. "He never took this off, this might be stupid but. I give you and Snow my blessing. Life is to short, and I promise I will never hurt you again.." She put it back around Serah's neck. She actually smiled at her. "Snow will be happy to see you, hell we all are happy. Snow and I, we all split up since we had no idea where you are. So now we have to get back, I am sure you want to see him" |

Serah just couldn't believe it, either this was pure luck or a miracle. Here she thought she would have to search for days to find her sister, or even Snow. Perhaps it was the bond they shared. No matter the thing is that she was here now, and they would never be seperated again. At least she hoped not, as soon as she pulled back from her sister she could see the sad look on her face. Even tears, Serah couldn't help but give a small light laugh. She knew it wasn't the time when Light was being so emotional, but it made her heart beat with joy to see happy tears in her sister's eyes. Hearing her sister speak, about that day.....the day she turned to crystal. Her sister never approved of her and Snow being together, but hearing he never left her side when she did become crystal.
"I know sis, I could feel his presense beside me". When she was crystal, she had no idea what was going on in the world. She had been branded a l'Cie, and her fate was to be a crystal. So when she was uncrystalized, Serah had been a little surprised to know that Snow and Light had been branded too. She bit her bottom lip listening to her sister speak, and shook her head. "I said things too that hurt you, things I regretted as well." All the small arguements they had, and the fights. Some hurtful words were exchanged, even on her sister's birthday they had fought.
She had said some things, and her sis had said some things. Especially when she told her about the engagement, and her being a l'Cie. Shuffling her foot across the ground, her eyes watched as Lightning took a chain from around her neck and put it around hers. It was the pendant Snow had given her, to show they were engaged. Even when she had been turned to crystal he never took it off, it made her happy since she knew he would hold onto it no matter what. "I don't want to hurt you either sis, did you forget you already gave us your blessing. I just really want to see Snow, so let's go find him".

Light just looked down at her sister, she had given her blessing twice. But it was a reminder. "I remember, but reminding you." She couldn't help but laugh. She took her sisters hand gently and walked over to Odin. As she was about to help her up on her horse, she heard something. Light didn't know what it was, she thought maybe it was her mind playing tricks. She shrugged her shoulders, and sighed a bit. She wondered if things really did happen the way they were supposed to. For a moment she thought of something. And sighed a bit.
"I went on the train to get to you before you turned to crystal, I quit my job. Because of you, I was not going to kill you. I was to be purged so I could get to you, everyone got branded, snow also. I don't regret getting branded, it brought you to me. There are people still looking for us, but we have a place to stay." She said getting on her horse and reached down for her sister.

Serah didn't mind that Light was repeating herself, just hearing that she gave her blessing was enough to make her happy. Feeling her sister's hand slip into hers, and held it she walked with her over to her eidolon. This must be Odin, the one she had spoke about that helped her many times in battle. He really was big and it was such a honor to finally meet the great Odin, she wondered what kind of eidolon she would have had if she hadn't turned to crystal in such a short time. There must be different types, and since Light had Odin she had to ask what Snow's summon was. Oh wait hadn't he mentioned something about Shiva Sisters, he didn't really want to get to into it though. He was more happy to finally have her back, yet they have been seperated coming here. And yet the question still remained unanswered, just where was this. How come they had been brought here, she's rather be back home planning a wedding.
Serah listened as her sister spoke, it was amazing she went through all that just for her sake. Well her sis was the fighter in the family after all, as for her she was just the brains in the family. The straight A student, and somewhat normal one. "You did alot for me sis, Snow as well. I knew you wouldn't give up, even though you both got branded". Serah was just glad they didn't turn into horrible monsters, before she had turned to crystal she had seen what happens to those who don't fulfill their focus right. Serah watched Light get on Odin, then offered her hand to her to also get on. "Are you sure it's alright"?
Truth be told she had never ridden on the back of a eidolon before, so she was quite unsure. But this was her sis after all, she shared a bond with Odin. Taking her hand, she mounted the horse and got comfortable. "Sis what do you mean people are still looking for us, last I checked this wasn't exactly home". She heard a branch crack somewhere in the woods, and turned her head to glance around. Serah had been hearing alot of strange noises since walking through here, having little to zero fighting skills she would have to keep on her toes or let her sis do the fighting.

If I Lose SerahX X I Have Nothing Light nodded to her, she helped her sister up and for protection. Put Serah in front of her. Light would never let anyone hurt her again, looking at her sister. "Don't worry about it Serah he doesn't mind, he saved my life a couple times now. I told him about you, even if he is a eidolon, he listens" She said nodding at the same time. But when she asked who was after them, she didn't want to tell her. But knew Serah was a big girl, so she sighed a little bit.
"we are all l'Cie Serah, to many people were are monsters. People fear what they do not understand, we are the boggy man to them. But I think it's time we shed light on the subject. It will be ok Serah, I promise. You and Snow will have a life together, and if I have to fight for the two of you, then I will. I am not afraid for myself. " Light looked at her sister and held her close to her body.
"Come on Odin, let's go home" She said and making sure Serah was protected so she wouldn't fall, Odin started running. But she had a bad feeling and thought.
"Hang on to me Serah I won't let you fall, i promise" Light said to her sister. |

Lucian cursed under his breath as he ran through the woods, firing his long rifle behind him as the 50 cal. BMG tore through the obstacles and armored troopers like paper. They also had air support on them, making sure that they didn’t lose him through the thick trees and wildlife. This way, it was much easier for PSICOM soldiers to keep track of where he was going, making his speed pointless compared to the hovering aircraft above him.
“Squad B, left flank! Squad A, right flank! Cover his entire escape routes; we’ve got him this time!”
Being a one-man army in this chase, Lucian ended up being surrounded from behind, left and right by fully equipped PSICOM soldiers with jetpacks at full speed. They were rater well-trained for grunts; these guys had no problem dodging trees at this kind of speed. Lucian analyzed the surroundings; he had to hide somewhere for there was no way for him to take all of them at once alone. At the moment, there weren’t any decent covers for him to hide in, all he could do was run and fire until the ammo that he had on him was empty.
Lucian aimed at the PSICOM soldier on his right with a jetpack, if he can aim for his fuel it was going to not only send him flying and cause a chain reaction of explosion that’d take out some troops behind him. He aimed and squeezed the trigger, but it jammed. Great, just when he needed this thing to fire the weapon just decided to jam on him when he needed it the most. It was just a prototype; this weapon not only looked primitive, but also had a lot of problems with its gun-mode.
“Fuck.”
Trying to find out why the hell his weapon jammed was out of the question at the moment. Lucian had no choice other than to run and hopefully find a temporary cover for him, but there was an underpass just up ahead, Lucian decided to lose them from here. Pushing his legs to the limits, he managed to out run them for a few seconds before he jumped down, took the fall and rolled to the side. Just he had thought they went in a straight line. They had lost him for now, if they figured out that he was hiding Lucian knew that they were going to come back and search this area. Last thing he wanted was being captured and sent back to that research facility again.
He wasn’t going to let this happen, while he had the chance he ran towards the west where he saw the most sunlight. Jumping out of the shadows what he found before him was a massive horse seemingly made out of machinery with two girls sitting on it; one of them was in Guardian Corp. Was this their new weaponry? That horse was massive, whether it was alive or not he didn’t want to have to deal with such machinery and just by its size he knew it was dangerous. Not to mention that thing and the two girls were blocking his path, “Damn it, I was close too….” He heard several screaming jets behind him, the PSICOM soldiers figured out where he was.
Lucian wasn’t going to quit just yet, he saw a gap under the horse’s belly. He ran up towards it, changing his rifle into a zweihander and just when he was in a close enough distance he skid downwards. When he ended up in other side he jumped back up and started running again. He looked back, a little surprised that someone from Guardian Corp didn’t stop him from escaping; whatever, it wasn’t like this was any of his concern.

Serah let her sister be pulled up upon Odin, though for her protection Light put her in front of her. That was better for her anyways, after all Serah didn't want to fall off the back of this eidolon and she had no idea how fast he could go either. So it was was better to be safe than sorry right. She listened as her sister spoke, and gave a small smile. So she had told her eidolon about her, and of course she knew that Odin had saved her sister's life. Probably more then a couple time though, she was certain it was more then that. "I wonder, if I ever had a eidolon.......what would it have looked like". She knew people who failed their focus were turned into those horrible monsters, but was it only certain people who obtained eidolons. But she was curious to know who was after them, after all this was not home so who did they have to worry about here.
As she heard her sister speak again, Serah slowly brought her hand up to her brand. All l'Cie, all monsters. That may have been what they were called back home, but can't her sis see this is not Cocoon. This was a different world with woods and animals, and maybe if she found other people here they wouldn't think of them as monsters. "Sis, this isn't home. Maybe if we can find a town or something, the people in this new world wouldn't think of us as monsters. They wouldn't even know what l'Cie are". And yes more then anything she wanted to start her life with Snow, it was what they had discussed before even being pulled from their home. Except right now she had no idea where Snow was, but if Light knew where he was then she could trust her sister's words. Hearing Light say to Odin let's go home, Serah just frowned and held onto the front of Odin. "This isn't home.....".
As she felt Odin move, Serah lifted her head and looked towards the woods. Hearing what sounded like shouting, it was faint and there was also the sound of gunfire. Just what was that, was it possible that her sister was right. That there was still people after them, even in this world. Serah could feel her heart beginning to race wildly in her chest, as the sense of fear was creeping up her back. She was almost never scared of anything, but just inside those woods she didn't know what to expect. Her eyes then fell upon someone coming out from the woods, he seemed to be running away from alot of people and just looked at her and Light on Odin. Almost like they were the bad guys, Serah then heard a familiar sound.
"Sis.......it's them, PSICOM". No, why were they here. This was not their battleground, and how come they were after this guy. She watched as he ran towards Odin and them, then slid right under them to the other side. Getting up he started to run again, this really was starting to confuse her. "Wait come back, we aren't with them. Look we are l'Cie, please don't leave us".
