It was obvious that he wasn't back in the Healing Lodge on his desk managing the money he had left from Shinra. No, he was on the ground and it was rather rough, not a smooth surface like back at what he would considered a home. At least it was more of a home than his old one was and that included both the Shinra estate and Junon where he was put on house arrest. It was smaller than those two but he didn't mind it too much. Even though he never liked closed space much as it sets limitations at least there were people he could talk to. His eyes still felt heavy so unwilling to open. He felt something nudged at him trying to wake him up. It wasn't a human, no he felt fur? Slowly though he was able to open up his crystal blue orbs to see that it was a figure he would never thought he was see again. At least not physically anyway as he did have photos.
"Dark Nation? he asked his voice merely a whisper. The creature mere looked at him. It wasn't that the blond had expected a reply since i twas an animal, it could barely understand what he was saying, only the movement. His hand reached over to pet it as if to make sure despite the fact that he felt it nudge him. It was impossible though, the creature should had been dead. Strife had killed it at their first meeting. How was it possible that it was right there in front of him? Something was wrong now. He let his hand dropped to the ground in order to push himself off. Quickly he dusted off whatever dirt that was on his clothing, a habit he had developed as a kid. Perfection was something that had been drilled into him even when he was young. Yes, even at a young age his father had put him under TURK training to make sure that he could protect himself. He didn't exactly lived the life the public had through he did. His father had always used propaganda to make everything better. It was watching the man that he had even decided to use a better formula, fear.
As Rufus looked around the area to find anything that was familiar, all he could see was mist. This wasn't good then. He took out his cell phone in order to contact the TURK's. If he was missing they must be looking for him. Although he still has no idea how he had gotten here or even where here is. As he slid the phone up he saw that there was no signal. Strange. His cellphone always got good signals, that way if he went missing and they didn't find the cellphone he could call them. It was also, so that he could call them to sent them on a mission no matter where the TURK's were. Gaia was also rather advanced in technology thanks to the charity of WRO. So what was wrong? Despite the fact that he was a little worried, his face was still as calm as ever as he slipped the phone back into his pockets. It looks like he was just going to have to find some way to get contact. It would be best to look for a town first then. He can gather some intelligence while he is there as well.
Rufus turned his attention to Dark Nation or at least the creature he assumed to be his deceased guard. It had waited for him and didn't eat him so obviously it was tamed. Although he recognized the creature, years of being trained under the TURK program and the betrayal of AVALANCHE had taught him that nothing could ever truly be certain. Slowly he started to walk and it followed him so ever obediently. He didn't know how long he walked for nor did he keep tack. He knew that if he kept track he would slowly grow impatient. During his house arrest he always did have to creature some distractions for himself which was mainly the new policies he would establish after the passing of his father.
Yet it did not take him long until the male saw his companion stopped and started a low growl. It was not a growl to warn anyone but the master. In other words, someone was here. Despite the fact that he didn't know who it was, he took out a gun and remained calm facing in the direction Dark Nation faced holding his gun up. This person might be a civilian with information or someone out to get him. Despite the fact that Shinra has fallen and the monument he had created, people had yet to forgive Shinra for what it has done. The public was never easy to please. So he waited to see who it was before shooting. Either way he might be able to make some use of the person if he played his cards right. In other words the blond would have to be one step ahead. Well, that shouldn't be too hard then.[/td][/tr] [/style] [tr][td][atrb=width,420,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][bg=lightsteelblue] words::863 tag::open to all comment::not good...i need to get into my rufusness again. I will be late, don't stay up and wait for me... The skies were dark with clouds, an uncertain air filling Squall's lungs as he searched around himself for a familiarity that never came. He had no idea where he was, nor did he really care. He simply tried to discern which way home was, but his dumbfounded subconscious yearned with a curiosity to know exactly where -this- was. He ground his boot down onto the flecks of gravel and dirt beneath him as he sighed, tossing his cleverly designed weapon over his shoulder to be placed with all the problems he was currently experiencing. Choosing what appeared to be a path beaten into the earth, his heavy steps romped the stone intentionally to bring about friend or foe. It took Squall a moment to discover that he was actually on a mountain, the mist so thick it clouded the senses and dulled his vision. Guessing that the path would eventually lead him to the ground was easy: he refused to believe anything else. Stopping to kick a rock in frustration, Squall looked around in the cool air for a place to just climb down. Realizing that that was a stupid idea, Squall's head reared up when he heard the faint noise of a voice over the whisking wind. Was it someone from SeeD? Could it be That idiot Zell or annoying Irvine? Struck with a chord of hope and humor, Squall headed towards the noise, not knowing what he would find but feeling it'd be better to actually see someone so he didn't feel so lost. Rounding the corner of a descending rock face, Squall stared directly into the face of a blond man in a suit and some sort of.... thing hissing at him. Narrowing his eyes, Squall knew that the creature could sense the fury inside him, its fear a natural alarm to anyone or thing knew it that trouble could be coming. Lowering the hefty gunblade from his shoulder, Squall looked directly at the well-dressed man and spoke, his tone quiet and dark. "...Who are you?" Short and to the point, Squall's grip remained steady on his sword, eying what seemed to be an odd handgun of sorts in the man's hand. Was he ready to attack? Squall waited for the man's reply, ready to leap in for the kill in an instant if things got too heated. He was sure that the man was at least important: No one walks around a damn MOUNTAIN in a suit like his. Was he lost as well? Would he be honest? Squall didn't trusted people already, but the man's firearm and pet made him even more wary. The lion stood tall, waiting for his answer with the irritated patience of a parent. This place was wonderful! It was high up in the mountains making the air very thin and a light mist seemed to cover everything. The rain seemed to make things a bit gloom and cold from time to time, but other than that this place was a perfect place for her to live. All she needed was a small cottage. Then maybe others would see how great her house was in such a wonderful place and then they would create little houses in the mountains too. It would Mist revived! Then again, it wouldn’t be Mist since this obviously wasn’t her world.
She hadn’t been living in the human world for some time; there was no point in living in the human world. Her family was gone and her friends went off to live their lives without her. The only real home she had left was in Feymarch with Asura and Leviathan. All the other Eidolons lived there as well, and they were her friends too. Hr time in Feymarch was always so wonderful, but all ended one day. She woke up in these foggy mountains lost and confused and immediately called on her parents. They had been worried since she had gone missing, but luckily they were still connected thanks to summoning.
”I’m not sure how I would build a house…” Rydia admitted as she folded her arm.
The massive dragon resting next to her didn’t really respond to her useless babble. The teenage girl seemed too scared to go explore the rest of the world and was intent on making this unknown space her new home. Without the support of her friends like Cecil and Rosa, she felt like a scared little child. And with this place that felt so familiar and homey, there wasn’t really a reason to go explore the rest of the world. Not being in Feymarch was slightly disheartening, but she could still call upon her parents and friends if she felt lonely. And in a place like this, Mist Dragon could happily stay around as her protect. There was not telling if this world had a portal back to Feymarch; and she didn’t know how massive of a place this world was. What if it required an airship to reach certain places?! She had been on a few, but she had never flown one herself… It was just best to stay somewhere safe.
Mist Dragon had almost been in a sleep like daze as she laid next to Rydia, but suddenly perked up. She turned her head to the side then snuffed. There seems to be others, close by… it warned. Rydia tilted her head, having her long green hair fall in front of her face. She blinked a could times as she looked down the mist covered way. ”You think there are people around here? But I haven’t even started building a house! Oh…but I better be a good hostess and greet them…” The girl was all in her own world. Mist Dragon huffed again before laying her head back down on the ground. It was pointless to give warning to the girl; she seemed to run towards danger, unknowingly.
The girl ran off towards the way Mist Dragon had glanced. It was always hard to see in such dense mist, but the girl hadn’t thought things through, like usual. Her little legs carried her down the path up until she tripped over something large and black. Luckily, there was a white pillow with blonde hair to break her fall. ”Ouchie, ouchie,” she whimpered as she looked back towards the black rock. Oddly, it wasn’t a rock but a creature with two tails growling at her. Rydia sat up on the comfortable pillow as she looked towards the creature. ”Hello…did you come to see my house?” She was completely oblivious to the fact there was a man below her instead of a pillow and another male who witnessed the whole act. The green hair smiled as she extended her hand to pet the creature. Mist Dragon might have a friend soon!
