Right at the bar counter a few men sat. There were mostly middle aged or older, but one boy with dark blue hair sat with them. He appeared in his early twenties or late teens. Just barely past the stages of adolescence.
"Girfried. It's not your fault. That woman was too loose anyways! You'll find true love!"
"You really think so?
The entire group would chime in yesses and helpful words would be expressed towards the older man around the age of 42. Shugo would pat the man on the back and shoot a thumb backwards towards a waitress.
"I think our good lady over there was giving you the eye. Go show a newcomer like me how it's done."
The men would laugh and Girfried would rise. He would come and sit back down a few moments later, with a large red hand print across his face. All of the men, including Shugo and Girfried, would laugh and commend eachother. It seemed like almost a sport to them, to see who could get slapped more.
