History: One thousand years before the events of Tidus and Yuna, Shuyin was a famous Blitzball player in Zanarkand, as well as the lover of a songstress/summoner named Lenne. While the city was at war with Bevelle, Zanarkand ordered all summoners to the front lines- which inculded Lenne, while he was drafted into the army. When Lenne was captured and held prisoner in Bevelle, Shuyin believed the only way to rescue her was to activate Vegnagun, a weapon that was powerful enough to destroy all of Spira. Because of it's power, Vegnagun was stored away in a heavily guarded chamber deep in Bevelle. Shuyin managed to infiltrate this chamber. He began to activate the machine, though before he could use it Lenne appeared and begged for him to stop. Amazed to see that Lenne was safe, the two embraced each other, though it wasn't long before they were killed by Bevelle soldiers.
His body was buried in a small cavern beneath the Mushroom Rock Road, which came to be known as the Den of Woe because of his lingering spirit. His soul was filled with such hatred and agony that he didn't cross over to the Farplane, instead suffering a loney existance for the next thousand years. His misery was only amplified by the pyreflies which dwelt in the cave, as they replayed his memories over and over again.
When the recruits of the Crimson Squad were sent to the Den of Woe for their final training, Shuyin's infuriation and grief literally drove them mad- causing them to slaughter each other. Only Baralai, Gippal, Nooj, and Paine survived. He was able to inhabit Nooj's body, and made his presence known by shooting the others in the back.
After this, he continued to use Nooj's body as his eyes and ears in Spira. He seen the same violence and corruption, deciding that Spira hadn't changed at all and resolved to "fix" it. During the years that followed, he used Nooj, Gippal, and Baralai to gather information of Vegnagun. Once he located the weapon, he possesed Nooj again and used his body to go to Bevelle and steal Vegnagun. However, Nooj's hatred of Vegnagun caused it to activate and relocate itself to the Farplane. Shuyin then took hold of Baralai's body, using him to travel to the Farplane and Vegnagun.
Shuyin now controlled Vegnagun, and used it to burrow holes to and from the Farplane underneath the Chambers of the Fayth. Fiends invaded the temples via these tunnels and Shuyin also took control of the Aeons, bending them to his will. When Yuna fell into the Djose Temple tunnel, she ended up in the Farplane Glen where Shuyin encountered her. Due to her similar appearance and the fact that she was wearing the songstress dressphere, he mistook her for Lenne. Relieved and glad to see her, he told her of his plans to use Vegnagun's cannon in order to destroy Spira- thus ending the warring and fighting. Afterwords, he returned to Vegnagun to carry out his plan.
The Gullwings followed Shuyin into the part of the Farplane that he had created. After they defeated Vegnagun, he finnaly became aware that Yuna was not Lenne and immediately became enraged. He attacked them, but they managed to fend him off. It wasn't long after this that Lenne's dormant spirit stepped out of the dressphere and soothed Shuyin's vengeful spirit. Reunited once again, they faded away together.
Likes: Lenne, Blitzball, music
Dislikes: War, Bevelle Soldiers, pyreflies, the Gullwings
Fears: Only losing Lenne

[From a Pokemon Roleplay.]
Deep mahogany eyes remained transfixed on the ground, as if waiting for something to happen. None of the other Pokemon could sense it, but he could feel it. The very faint rumble deep beneath the very Earth that Groudon had created...the heat welling up inside the ground...the pressure of the volcanic fury that was about to spew forth from the supposedly dormant volcano. There were no human civilizations nearby, so this eruption would most likely go unnoticed by them.
He felt no remorse or sorrow for the plant life that was about to be incinerated. The vegetation would grow again from the ash, stronger than before. It was how nature replenished itself, by destroying what was and bringing new life into the world. That was how the cycle was- all things must end, therefore allowing new things to grow. The vibrations from under the continental plates grew more violent. Nearby Pokemon began to scurry away from the mountain, fearfull of the impending doom that they believed Entei to have brought.
The rumbling grew louder. The trees began to rustle and shiver not only because of the wind, but because of the now shaking Earth. Entei sprinted forward, his reddish-brown fur blown by the cool and peacefull summer breeze which was going to soon abruptly change. Pokemon shrieked, filled with panic and fright from the now glass-shatteringly loud sound of the angry volcano. At the exact moment rocks, soot, embers, and other pyroclastic material flew from the top of the mountain, the Legendary Beast let out a loud roar which one could feel in their very bones. Lava shot into the air like comets in the night sky, as if answering Entei's call. The molten rock slithered down the sides of the mountain, glowing a hot red-orange which was the color of destruction, power, and majesty. Lifting his head up, the Pokemon let out jet of flame, the searing fire obliterating tree leaves and branches- quickly licking other nearby plants and consuming them in the blaze.
It was as if lava flowed through his very veins, pumping the blazingly hot raw power through his body. When the stream of flame was finished devouring the plants in it's path, he inhaled deeply again and let out another eardrum-breaking roar. The volcano quickly met Entei's demands, as if fearfull of the God. The lava oozed down the mountain slope, burning the emerald grass and plant life in it's wake. The fiery wrath was now only a short distance away from Entei's silver paws. Unafraid of the molten rock slowly inching towards him, the Pokemon turned his back to it.
Taking another gigantic leap forward, the Pokemon raced away from the volcano- the lava seemingly following him through the forest. Soot that was spewed into the air earlier now had made it's way back down to the Earth- some of it landing in a crystal clear pond of water. The water was quickly tainted by the black powder, turning a deep murky black. Entei did not regret this, however. His sister, Suicune would clean the water while sprinting throughout the world as all three of the Legendary Beasts did. His work was finished here, but he could feel another volcano calling to him.
Filled with excitement once more, Entei sprinted off in another direction, leaving the lava to continue it's destructive course.
