»» WEAPON;; rikku traded in her claws and targes from her first journey for garment grid and dresspheres, particularly her favorite and most developed three.

»» THIEF;; the thief dressphere is rikku's default with dual blades and an added evasion and agility bonus. she's light on her feet which allows her to not only steal from her enemies but avoid quite a few attacks. the downside, of course, is that she has very little defense at all to both physical and magical attacks if hit.

»» ALCHEMIST;; the alchemist dressphere allows rikku to wield a very large gun but at the cost of having a severely decreased stamina and defense against attacks, even weaker than her thief one. however, the bonus allows her to use items, mix items, and create unique things to use as attacks as well as increase the effects of said items.

»» LADY LUCK;; the lady luck dressphere increases the luck of the wearer, making it easier for rikku to land a flurry of critical attacks toward her enemies. however, the fact that it relies on luck means that it depends on her skill at slots and dice whether or not she'll deal the damage. incorrect movements could leave her reeling from self-inflicted damage.

»» BI-LINGUAL;; rikku speaks al-bhed and, well, what everyone else does. it's not a big deal, per se, but she bursts into it at random times.

History:

»» Rikku first made her appearance when she and a group of other Al-Bhed came across Tidus in some underwater ruins. Rikku objected to their killing of him, assured that he wasn't a fiend in disguse like the other thought. Keeping an eye on the newcomer, Rikku had Tidus help her reactivate an underwater power plant and found that she quite liked his personality. She promised to take him to Luca, thinking he'd meet fellow blitzball players there, but was unable to do so due to an attack from Sin.

She survived, though she was separated from her newest friend, and soon turned her attention to more pressing concerns such as attempting to save her cousin from the futile and fatal pilgrimage she was on. One of those attempts included trying to kidnap Yuna on her passage over the Moonflow, but her machina was defeated by Tidus and Wakka and she washed ashore where her good old buddy found her. Finding her last attempt a failure, Rikku instead asks to become one of Yuna's guardians.

She's allowed and travels with them, enjoying the hospitality of the Guado and traveling in near hysterics through to reach Macalania where Wakka, another member in the party, found out that she was an Al-Bhed and blamed her people for Sin's birth. This caused increased tension, though her biological relationship to Yuna was revealed. It wasn't until Yuna's group made it to Bikanel Island, that she moved to play a more active part, leading them to her home-- only to find many of her friends killed by the Guado.

She found her father and helped everyone escape on an airship where she revealed to Tidus that Yuna would die if she completed the Final Summoning, and her concern for Yuna mended the rift between her and Wakka. At the ambush at Bevelle Temple, Rikku attempted to help Yuna escape but the party found themselves captured anyway. Though, they eventually escaped and hid in the Macalania Woods. She hoped Yuna would give up her pilgrimage but found it a vain one. They continued their journey to the Calm Lands.

During that time, she became increasingly agitated at Yuna's possible fate and argued, stopping only when Yuna declined it and, thereafter, accompanied the party until Sin was defeated and Tidus disappeared.

After her journey as a guardian, she and her brother fought with their father and left to found a sphere hunting group called the Gullwings along with Buddy, Shinra and Paine. During one of their hunts two years since she last saw her fellow guardians and summoner, Rikku found at sphere with a man in it resembling Tidus and rushed to Besaid to tell Yuna who joined instantly. During their travels, they met various people such as Nooj, Baralai, and Gippal-- who was an old friend of Rikku's.

When Yuna reacts weirdly to the songstress dressphere, the group learned the story of Lenne and Shuyin and of Shuyin's spirit's plans for a machine called Vegnagun and teamed up with their former enemies to save Spira from being destroyed which resulted in Tidus returning, making Yuna happy and, therefore, Rikku too-- even if she was a bit jealous. With that chapter of her life closed, Rikku moved to look for more adventure and intrigue, and when she went to inspect something curious one day, she found herself tumbling into a new world.

That was a while ago, and she's slowly adjusting to La Terre and the new... type of fiends attacking the people.
