Weapons/Abilities:
Weapon -- Rinoa's weapon of choice is a blaster edge. The blast edge is a weapon that is mounted and used on one's wrist. Depending on the situation or what she is equipped with, she can have a different kind of blaster edge. The different kinds of blaster edges offered for Rinoa are the Pinwheel, Valkyrie, Rising Sun, Cardinal, and Shooting Star, the Shooting Star being her ultimate blaster edge. Each blaster edge is different in color, shape, and size. Not only are they different in the physical aspects, but each other them it better suited for different things and they also have different ways of being obtained.
Abilities -- Like every other member of her party, she is able to use simple magic, such as fire, thunder, cure, etc. That is only is she equipped with certain materia. However, mote often then not you can see Rinoa equipped with cure, as she is a very valuable healer to a party. The one thing she has different then her group though are her limit breaks. She has four general limit breaks, but one of them can be broken down.
Combine -- This is the first of her two limit breaks. In this limit break, she combines with her dog Angelo for certain tasks, hence why this section can be broken down. The many things she combines with Angelo to do are the following:
Angelo Rush -- During Angelo Rush, Rinoa calls Angelo on to the battlefield. Angel0 rushes forward, a ball of speed and energy forming around him. He runs to the enemy, jumps, and charges forward. This causes quite a bit of damage to the enemy.
Angelo Recover -- In this one, Rinoa summons Angelo to the battlefield. Angel makes his way to the field, barking happily. Instead of attacking the enemy, he cures any party member selected to be healed. They usually get a very hefty life point boost.
Angelo Reverse -- In this one, Rinoa summons Angelo the field. Angelo comes to the battlefield, barking as usual. Now, instead of curing a party member, he brings a party member back to life, once again with a pretty hefty on the life point boost.
Angelo Search -- When Angelo is summoned to the field, he barks, running ahead of Rinoa. He digs on the open ground between Rinoa's party and the enemy(ies). He searches for an item, and runs to give it to Rinoa.
Angelo Cannon -- Once Rinoa summons him, Angelo is on the field. He does a nice little jump, and places himself on Rinoa's blaster edge (that must be one hell of a strong arm she's got there) and Rinoa proceeds to blast Angelo at the enemies. The enemies get surrounded in fire, Angelo flips back by Rinoa, and she pats him on the head for a job well done before he runs away.
Angelo Strike -- In this one, once more Rinoa summons Angelo to the battlefield. Angelo immediately jumps in front of the enemy. From there, he proceeds to jump on the enemy, and blast up a couple feet. He does a few somersaults in the air with the enemy, then brings them crashing back down into the ground. He does a back flip back to Rinoa, who gives him a treat, and Angelo runs off.
Invincible Moon -- In this limit break, she throws a bone up for Angelo, who jumps up and catches it. He powers up, and literally jumps up so high he is seen alongside the moon. A ray of light comes down on Rinoa and her party, and gives them something to help. Angelo lands, and Rinoa takes the bone, putting it on his nose. He tosses it up, eats it, and runs off.
Wishing Star -- In this limit break, Rinoa and Angelo lung at the enemy together. They shatter the area, and end up in outer space. Then, you see a little twinkle, from there Rinoa and Angelo unleash a fury of constant attacks from either direction with one final bang. There is an explosion, and Rinoa is back down on the ground without Angelo.
Angel Wing -- In this limit break, Rinoa is completely on her own. She grows a nice pair of big, white angel wings on her back and floats into the sky. She glows for a good minute then comes back down to Earth. She is left in this angel mode, and her magic power is boosted by 5 times the normal power. Also, she is only able to use magic during this state, because she is in a magic berserk mode.
Eidolons/ Summons:
Rinoa, during the course of the game, recives summoner powers. However, that does not mean she gets special summons. She has whatever summon she is equipped with having. However, you will often see her with Shiva the ice summon or whatever other summon she is allowed to have.
