History: Genesis knows his name is not the one he was given, but he doesn't really care either. His general pas in unknown, but it is well-known that he was the product of the Project G stand of the Jenova Project. Genesis and Angeal were childhood friends, and the two grew up together in Banora Village. With the experiment done on Genesis, when they found out that he could create clones, but not incorporate others, custody of the child was handed over to the Banora landlord. Genesis spent several years watching Sephiroth, seeing what a 'hero' has was to everyone, so he joined SOLDIER, and became teammates with Sephiroth and Angeal. Some time later, during a hologra match, Angeal wounded Genesis, while trying to keep his friend and Sephiroth from killing each other. Brushing it off to the two that it was a minor wound, Genesis hid the fact that the wound was getting worse.
While getting treatmnt for his suffering wound, Genesis found out the truth about himself, and after a few months, he disappeared with Dr. Hollander and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd class SOLDIERS. While he is gone, he creates a bunch of Genesis cloes, but these are much more violent than any other clones, and they are all suffering like their master. No one kind find Genesis for quite a while, until a group travels to Banora Village, where Genesis has re-made the town to from it into a stronghold for his army. Confronted by Angeal, Genesis asked him if he can live after he had killed his friend, and then he run with Angeal following after him. After the air strike on Banora, everyone thinks that Angeal and Genesis are dead.
After Zack becomes a 1st SOLDIER, and Seohiroth tells him about the day Genesis was harmed, Genesis shows up, and once Angeal entered the room, he talks about that the three friends are now here, and that one becomes chased, one takes flight, and the last remaining friend becomes the hero. Escaping, Genesis appears where Hojo is, and plans on killing him, but Angeal stops him. Genesis run, with Angeal following him, but only after summoning Bahamut to deal with Zack. Genesis goes to the warehouse in Modeoheim, where he fights Zack using his own abilities. Zack defeats him, and after quoting LOVELESS, Genesis falls, presumably to his death. But he wasn't done there. Appearing at the Mt. Nibel Reactor, he plants the seeds of madness into Sephiroth's mind by telling him that he a product of the Jenova Project, and that he is the biggest monster of all. Genesis goes a little farther, and then leaves.
Four years later, the degradation has progressed even farther, having now turned his hair a silvery-white. He appears in front of Zack and Cloud after they escape from the mansion, and tells Zack that because the experiments one on him were with S cells, he needs them to stop the degradation. He almost suceeds, but after witnessing the hideous tranformation one of the Genesis copies goes through, Genesis retreats once again. With Zack's arrival to Gongaga, Genesis appears once again, this tme going after Cloud. Genesis asks Zack about LOVELESS, but Zack attacks him. Genesis dodges the attack and retreats again, leaving behind a Banora apple. Genesis is hiding out int he abandonded Mako reactor in Banora. Holding the Goddess Materia, Genesis once again quotes LOVELESS, and the gathers Lifestream into the Materia, which transforms him. Zack and Genesis fight, and once defeated, Genesis is shown as free from all degradation.
Genesis awakens to find himself in a place flood with Lifestream, and facing a statue of the goddess. The statue turned into Minerva, and the two stare at each other for a minute, before Minerva turns her head. Genesis re-awakens to find himself with Zack and Cloud. After eating a Banora apple, he tells the lifeless Lazard that he dream was fulfilled: to to eat an apple with Sephiroth. Seeing it was since Sephiroth was gone, but Zack and Cloud held Jenova Cels inside of them, then they were the next best thing. Finally happy, Genesis passes out, and is later retrieved by two 1st class SOLDIERS. Later after delining the two's offer to join them against the current leaders of the Deepground group, Genesis seals himself in a flooded cavern under Midgar.

So much had happened over the past several years. He had been apart of, and defected from SOLDIER, only to realize that he was not the hero he though he was, and had come to the realization that Zack was the true hero. He had regained his true self once again, free from degradation, but by then there was nothing left for him to do, so he entered a flooded cavern under Midgar, and that is where he stayed for the past two years. But something had woken him up, and he slowly paced the length of the cavern, ignoring the coldness that was slowly creeping up his legs as a result of pacing in water. He had intended to stay asleep like that until he was needed, but something, or someone, had bothered him. "This is ridiculous!" He kicked at a rock and watched as it sunk into a puddle.
Something clattered down one of the steep walls and he whipped around. He walked over carefully and picked up the stone that was obviously out of place. It had a pale-pink haze around it, and it looked as if white shards were shooting across the surfaces. Just as he was processing what he was looking at, it heard a very faint voice, and sounded as if it was calling for something. Turning around quickly, he stained to look around the dark cavern, but he saw nothing. He then closed his eyes and concentrated on the faint voice, walking in the direction of the sound. He expected to touch the opposite wall of the cavern, but nothing happened, Slowly, he could tell fom behind closed lids that there was light out there. He stopped waking and opened his eyes.
He jerked backwards in suprize, his eyes going wide as he dropped the strange stone in his hand. He was standing in a long hllway, pillars lining the wallsabout twenty-feet apart. They looked like they were carved from a white stone and he walked over to one, running his left hand down one, marveling at the smoothness of it. The walls were a suprizingly soothing pale flesh-tone color, and the floor beneath his feet was made of the same white stone that the pillars were made from, with a long dark-red carpet dow the middle of the hallway. He turned and walked towards a bright windo and looked out of it, forcing himself not to smile at the sight of the colorful brightness. There was a lush forest in the distance, and it was.... just as nice as everthing else out there.
"It nice, isn't it?" Genesis whipped around at the sound of a female voice, and narrowed his eyes ever so slightly at the woman before him. She was relatiely tall, blond-haired and had moderately attractive dark eyes. She was dressed better than others, and even though she looked little frail because of how skinny she was, he was getting a strange feeling that she wasn't as weak as she seemed. He reverted into his normal attitude, and a faint smirk twitste up his lips. He stared at her with narrowed eyes, and she just smiled at him. The two two there like that for what felt like forever before Genesis gave up and sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Where am I?" The woman gave him his space as she walked around him and looked out the window. He kept his eyes on her, naturally wary around anyone after sitting in that flooded cavern for so long.
"This is the land of La Terre." She said, looking up as a bird soared past the window. "And that is?" He responded, relaxing his stance just a little. The woman smiled, and moved away from the window, clasping her hands behind her back. She started to slowly walk away, speaking as she did so. "Well, come outside and see for yourself." Supressing the urge to roll his eyes, he turned and walked at a hesitating disance from behind her. She opened a pair of large doors, and they stepped outside. He raised his arm out of reflex, and he stared up into the blue sky, suprized in how blue it looked. He dropped his gaze and let it sweep about the courtyard around him. The woman just stood there with a smile on her face, as Genesis walked down the last few steps and stood on the stone oath, slowly taking in the sights. True, he had finally escaped from SOLDIER and had seen the sky and plants, but these were different.
"This place is...." He let his voice trail off, unable to to voice what he was thinking. "Magical?" The woman said, still standing in the open doors. Genesis smirked slightly and rolled his eyes. "No. I was going to say.... different. Anyways, why am I here?" He asked her, turning to face her with his arm crossed. She smiled again, but it faultered just slightly and she looked away. "La Terre is in trouble. The Dark King has taken control of beings called Heartless, and using them, he is gathering a huge amount of power." Genesis rolled his eyes and turned from her. "It's none of my consern." He started to walk away, but he stopped when a strange feeling sweeped over him. He turned without thinking and pulled out his rapier, knocking back a black creature which had appeared and lunged at the woman.
He watched it disappear, and when he looked over his shoulder at the woman, he noticed that she was smiling at him. Caught off-guard for a second, he quickly pulled himself together. "If it's none of your concern.... Why did you help me? I could have taken it myself." Genesis gave a slight smile and tapped the flat side of his rapier on his shoulder. "Reflex." He looked back at the woman, and then gave an inaudible sigh. "Fine. I have nowhere else to go. Tell me more about La Terre."
