"I'm like your regular kid, who was born to two parents and spent some of his years with them. Unlike most kids, though, those two parents ended up dying in an accident at sea, back when I was about four years old. I cried a lot, of course, and I missed them - but I had to move on and live my life the way they wanted me to. It was difficult at first to be an orphan, but then I met someone named Riku, and he became my first best friend.

He and I grew up together, for the most part, and even though he was always better than me at everything, we had this delicate balance in our friendship. I had someone's heart in mine, which was sort of weird, and I made a promise to keep Riku safe from the darkness. We needed the balance, and it was important to us. That balance was ruined, however, when out of nowhere a girl named Kairi appeared - the daughter of the mayor of my hometown, Destiny Islands. She was pretty, with auburn-colored hair and loving brown eyes, and Riku and I were smitten with her the moment she said 'hi'.

I had this crush on Kairi for the majority of my childhood life, and I think maybe Riku did, too, even though he never told me about it. I was convinced Kairi would be my first girlfriend, too, but she never did - since I never worked up the courage to tell her. We even had our own secret hideout, a small cave over at Destiny Islands, where she and I drew things on the walls. Thinking back, I was probably dumb for not saying anything.

One day, Riku, Kairi and I decided to go somewhere else.

I don't know if her father knew about her plans, but Riku and I were ready for anything. We'd decided to make a raft to be able to get out of Destiny Islands and to the worlds out there that probably exist. I had a lot of chances at that time to get Kairi to be mine, but I didn't take them at all. It could be considered stupid, but I was busy thinking about whether or not I could get her dream of going somewhere else to come true. Her happiness was prioritized over mine.

When the raft was finished, something awful happened.

There was this sudden storm, and monsters began attacking from everywhere. Riku went to the darkness, much to my chagrin, and even though I tried to get him back, I failed because of the appearance of this large monster.

It was terrible, and I ended up being swept away to some other land.

Let's just say a ton of things happened at that time, like me turning into a monster, myself, me meeting some talking animals, me going to worlds and junk. I even figured out I had something called a Nobody, and total memory loss. It's a pretty freaky thing, that adventure I'd gone through, but, oh well.

I'm not in love with Kairi anymore, though.

Hunger.

In the easiest sense, it is the most basic need of human beings, other than water and perhaps sexual favors. Truth be told, that last one doesn't necessarily apply to our hero thus far, but if it did, then there'd be a little problem with the rate at which Sora matured.

Nonetheless, if we revert back to the subject at hand, then we must remember the first thing that had appeared - which was hunger. What is it, then, that must require us to give that as a word? It's rather simple, really, and that's because Sora, at the moment, was more hungry than you could probably imagine.

It's safe to say that after adventuring quite some bit that Sora's developed a little immunity to the regular needs of human beings. He has gone days without food, days without sleep, and a few more hours than normal people do without water. He has fought the biggest monsters in the dankest places, and he, too, has discovered the ups and downs of foolish teenage love. Sora's been through far more than the regular fifteen year old, but like other regular fifteen year olds, his hunger would never be truly satisfied.

"Food, food, food.."

[/color] he says to himself, wandering aimlessly through the home he calls Destiny Islands. Everyone is asleep but him, because it's one of those ungodly hours in the morning, and Sora knows that he can't randomly kick Riku off the bed in order to ask him to make something to eat. This is why, when he finds nothing but bread, lettuce, some ham, and other things - Sora decides one of the most important things of his life.

"I'll make a sandwich!"[/color] exclaims our daunting hero, beaming. He grabs his weapons, a knife, ketchup, mustard, and other things that have something to do with the artful fight named sandwich-making and begins his gory, bloody task of victory.

Ten minutes later, Sora takes a shower.

A few hours later, Kairi wonders why Sora's clothes are covered in ketchup.
