♥It's Now Or Never♥
Name: Paine.
Age: Eighteen.
Which game are you from: FF X-2.
Weapons/Abilities:
Dresspheres: After becoming a Sphere Hunter, Paine has become adept at quite a fair few of these lovely dresspheres. Her main three would be Warrior , Dark Knight [Where Paine uses her opponent's own health against them.], and Black Mage [Because Paine really enjoys the various destructive spells that comes with it.]
Weapon
Deathbringer: A rather scary appearing weapon when first seen. Simple in appearance, and rather dark, Paine uses this blade as her primary weapon. On contact with any physical object, save Paine herself, Deathbringer releases a pulse of telekinetic energy. Against organic objects, it does deal fairly heavy damage, but the real benefit of the ability is that it allows the sword to combat almost any traditional weapon, releasing bursts of telekinetic energy that help to block and parry incoming attacks. Furthermore, Paine can use her sword in this way to knock away obstacles, block projectiles, and slam it into the ground to give her jumps and acrobatics a boost. She can also summon it to her hand in a handy flash of light~!
Cooldown: Two posts.
Eidolons/ Summons: None.
Alliance: The Light.

History:
Paine's past is mostly unknown, as she hardly talks about herself, or of what has happened to her in the past. She grew up in Spira, during the time when Sin ran rampant, and she quickly learned to grow up fast, and to rely on only herself. Before the defeat of Sin by Yuna, she would join the Crimson Squad. Making into this elite group, she was assigned as the recorder of Baralai, Nooj, and Gippal. Paine would grow close to each of the men, learning of their past, and what made each of them whom they were. Right before the time of Operation Mi'ihen, Paine would find herself within the Den of Woe, where if they survived, her group would be full members of the Crimson Squad. The pyreflies that swarmed the Den would quickly overwhelm the groups, their sanity lost with the pain of Shuyin, and they would turn their own weapons upon their friends. Gunshots raged through the Den, effectively killing everyone, and bringing these haunted images into Paine's memory for her life. Nooj, Baralai, Gippal, and herself managed to survive and escape, though they were set for execution, as no one was meant to survive this failed mission.
Paine would spend her remaining time with these three men, running on the road, and still recording for them. As she spent more time with each man, Paine would learn how to speak fluent Al Bhed from Gippal. When the four of them decided to separate, Nooj, under the influence of Shuyin, shot all three of them in the back. Injured and feeling betrayed, Paine would lose contact with her three friends, and with a desire to find out what had gone wrong within the Den of Woe, and of why Nooj had betrayed them. Two years later, Paine would get her chance when she joined the Gullwings as a Sphere Hunter. Shortly after Yuna had joined, the Songstress dressphere had been stolen by the Leblanc Syndicate, a rival sphere hunter group. With the dressphere stolen, Leblanc impersonated Yuna, and set up a concert in Luca, where everyone would see the impersonated High Summoner play.
Paine infiltrates the stadium with Rikku, and effectively taking the dressphere back in the end. With this mission completed, Paine and the others return to the Celsius, set to find any more spheres that lay waiting within Spira. The Gullwings would eventually stumble upon a mysterious sphere recording of the ancient machina that was Vegnagun. When returning the sphere back to one of the Factions, the LeBlanc Syndicate would take this chance to board the Celsius and steal another sphere once more. With this situation, the Gullwings must steal three Syndicate uniforms to infiltrate Syndicate headquarters, and steal the sphere right back. During the hunt for the uniforms, the Gullwings will eventually come to the old Djose Temple, now the headquarters of the Machine Faction. As such, The Gullwings would come across Gippal, leader of the Faction. When Paine sees him, she acts as if she had never met him before, even though he does not. She even introduces herself to him as such.
After they had acquired all three uniforms, the Gullwings set off to the LeBlanc Chateau, to steal back their stolen sphere. During the mission, Paine and the others come across one of the Crimson Spheres Paine had recorded. Even as Rikku and Yuna watched, Paine remained silent on the whole thing. Afterward, they all learn the location of Vegnagun, deep beneath the city of Bevelle. It was once again time for another mission for the Gullwings. With the LeBlanc Syndicate tagging along, Paine and the others made their way down into the labyrinth beneath Bevelle. Fighting their way through, and making it to the location where Vegnagun was once held. Instead, the Gullwings come across Baralai, the Praetor of New Yevon, and Dark Bahamut. After defeating the Aeon, the Gullwings returned to the Celsius once more, having more questions than answers as to where and what Vegnagun was.
With the Dark Aeons making an appearance, the Gullwings would soon come to the call of the Besaid, Kilika, and Djose Temples to rid them of the fiends. After the end of the Djose Temple excursion, when Yuna returned from her unexpected fall into the Farplane, Paine was given two more Crimson Spheres from Yuna, who was given the spheres by Gippal and Nooj. When confronted by Yuna about the spheres, Paine finally admitted her painful past, of everything that happened in the Crimson Squad, and the of the death she had seen. Afterward, the Gullwings once again have the task of trying to quell the fighting between the Youth League and New Yevon. To do so, they sought out Tobli to set up a concert for Yuna to perform. As the concert in performed, all of Spira is allowed to see the tragic deaths of Shuyin and Lenne. As Yuna falls to her knees at the end of her song, Paine is there to comfort her shocked friend.
After the concert was over, Paine would at last receive the final Crimson Sphere, from LeBlanc herself. With this in mind, the Gullwings set out for the Den of Woe, where the tragedy had taken place. The pyreflies reacted once more, and Shuyin's hate was apparent once more. There, Paine would finally discover the truth of what had happened those two years ago. After leaving the Den of Woe, Paine was filled with determination to free her friends from Shuyin's influence. Paine now knew that Nooj had been possessed when he had shot them, and now Baralai was possessed by the vengeful spirit. With this, the Gullwings set off for the deepest reaches of the Farplane, where Vegnagun was to be found. Paine would reunite with all three of her friends once more, and with Nooj and Gippal's help, along with the LeBlanc Syndicate, the Gullwings were able to free Baralai and defeat Vegnagun. After, they would finally be able to see the reunited lovers that were Lenne and Shuyin. With Spira at peace once more, Paine was able to spend her time at her leisure.

RP Sample:
Paine sometimes wondered about the various 'what ifs' of her past. She knows that the past cannot be changed, nor can time heal all wounds, but she is only human after all. Did everything happen for a reason? Or was it merely random acts of chance? The young woman believed in the former, since it had all lead down to that final showdown with Vegnagun and Shuyin. A thousand years of despair and hatred, and all put to rest with the love of a deceased Songstress, and the heroic actions that Yuna never could seem to ignore. Life was strange and mysterious, and sometimes she felt like she was merely floating through it. Everything had calmed down, and it had Paine restless. The maiden had been saved, the dragon defeated, and she was left with more time than she knew what to do with. Oh, she still had her contacts with the Gullwings, and had manged to bring the three of them back together. Never forget the adventure that had brought them together, because Paine did not want them all to go their separate ways. [Quite the irony from the supposed loner.] Maybe she just enjoyed projecting herself as the ironic twist in some way.
A short laugh escaped her, and she ran her hand through her short locks. The air was crisp and fresh, but this was not home. Not Spira, and she had no idea where the hell she was. The strands of fate dragging her along once more? [Really, sometimes she wondered if there was such a thing as free will.] Paine wanted to know what had dragged her from her peace and happiness, and wanted to thank whomever it was. Sitting around had never been her strong point, and she was a woman of action. She had to be doing something, or her thoughts would consume her. [Brooding, as Rikku would no doubt call it.] Another reason she needed to start looking about this strange world, even after she had been pulled in by the Heartless to Radiant Garden. Yuna and Rikku. Where were they? Perhaps even Baralai, Gippal, or Nooj had been pulled into this never ending spiral of heroism. No rest for the weary, and whatever other appropriate saying for this situation. Her boots scuffed against the dirt ground, and all she saw above her was a wide blue expanse of sky.
Where should she start? Everywhere and nowhere. Paine wished she had one of Shinra's Commspheres at this point, but all she had were her wits and drive. And so she would start with the path that this road lead to, because she had nowhere else to start off of. Who knew? Maybe Yuna and Rikku would find her first, because life was just funny like that. "Fate is a funny and cruel thing," she replied with a slight smirk to her lips. No longer was she floating through the peace that had been given to Spira, and so she relished the chance for this new adventure, whatever dangers would be placed before her. She had dealt with worse, and maybe it would be fun. So she allowed her 'what ifs' to disappear from her mind, and started the arduous tread down the dirt paved road.
No rest for the weary.
